6 months sobriety on Labor Day!
I really needed to read this this morning. Congratulations You look happy, healthy and are doing something unique, that wouldn't be done as well drunk! I had a picture taken of me and one of my dogs Sat. on my birthday. I received many remarks from family about how " young" I look . Well, turing 55 isn't young, but being sober for 10 weeks helps one's appearance If I knew how to post a picture, I might share it, but would also be worried about my school families seeing it.
Thank you for your post - keep on posting!

Grits,
You go, girl!!!!! What a great picture. (it looks like you guys are just going to pop out of the computer - good energy!) I am so proud and happy for you. I have followed your journey, and was very happy to read of your success. Your positive post inspires all of us. Congratulations!

DisplacedGrits, I have been here long enough to mark your arrival, your first uncertainties, and your growing resolve. Through all of this, you have been honest and positive, and truly generous of yourself. You are good people, Grits. Thanks and congratulations to you.
y'all are so wonderful. i just feel so giddy right now! half a year! Least has 1000! it all feels so possible! this is life, people. this is what real living is. not the drop at the end of the bottle, searching for the next fix, hiding from ourselves and the world. no longer existing just for the sake of existing. ah, what a world!
