day 19 for hubby and me! he works at a liqour store and tonight he asked "just for tonight". I was at the store close by and almost got sick to my stomach and tears of fear. I texted him back no. He replied i will be ok. I told him I am so sorry he's in the middle of a candy store be strong and that i loved him. We came out at the same time and we hugged and from there went home and enjoyed dinner together.

Glad you are on SR Scat. Now you can talk with all the folks who have walked before you and found their way! Have you joined one of the monthly threads also? If not, the Sept 2012 class just started today.. . You can post on both! Or join the August 2012 class since you quit in August. You and your husband have made a wonderful decision. You can do it!

I'm good thanks stevie,

I started reading again, used to read a lot but it got in the way of drinking for a few years there. My concentration has come back with my patience at about 6 months out . At the moment i'm getting through the Game of Thrones series by George RR Martin at the rate of a book a week .
Mums 60th yesterday, was nice to be sober to be there for her , shes a paranoid schizophrenic and i live in as her full time carer as well as a full time job with about 20hrs of call outs a month !
Keep wondering when the disaster is going to happen but maybe this is the calm after the storm, no need to worry just take it day by day ..

Thanks, M

Hi justhad! Glad you are right back and stopped it from going on further. It takes strength to turn around like that.

BF, very glad to see you posting! Keep it up!

Scat: Yeah, that backload of emotions can be rough. My moods swung everywhere. I couldnt sleep, couldnt concentrate, energy sunk. But it all went away. Give your brain and body time. But it is hard to be at work in the meantime, isn't it?

Stevie: Good for you for hanging in there!

WantToH: I see you are walkin' the walk, also!

Backbeat: Did you get through your night?

Anybody else I missed, keep up the good work! We know it is terribly hard, and that is why we are here to encourage you!

Eternal, yes emotions all over. it doesn't help that my son and his gf of 2yrs she broke up with him a few days ago. it pains me to see him so broken up. he just started his senior year and she did this. she had to find herself! ugh....I am going for a walk soon so that should clear my head!

Sorry about your son, but you will be able to be extra present for him as a sober parent. That's a plus.

4 days on to 5! My mood swings go from giddy to miserable in a snap of a finger. I just want to be free and happy! I want to love life and wake up feeling great and not hungover. I want to stop being self destructive and start loving myself. I deserve better, we all do!

Good luck to everyone!

Oh and scat, taking long walks is something that helps me as well. Tomorrow I'm going to step it up a notch and go for a run.

I hope you are well!
