I googled my problem with my boyfriend and found this site. To start- I have just been with this man 6 months and his 27 year old daughter nearly died last week from DTs and is living back at home with him. He's trying to get her into Rehab and all the help he can. I'm really disappointed as I see and feel this is putting an end to our relationship. I see the manipulation and how she's got him around her little finger. I don't know what if anything I can do to help or even if I should. He's just started a heavy schedule for the next several months and he's taken on way too much. I really don't feel he really has the time for me now though I think he thinks I'm just going to hang on. There's more but that's a start.

Where do I post about this topic etc?

Maybe you shouldn't hang on. Let him deal with his daughter.

Right. Exactly what my gut is saying. I'm actually having stomach aches. I've seen enough to know I don't carry much weight here. I'm going to break it off and let him deal with his life and daughter. Ive worked too hard to be healthy emotionally and been through enough in my life to get into anyone else's dysfunction at this point.

I'm just very sad about it and feel great compassion for both of them. I just can't let myself get sucked into it.

I don't get why you can't just date him and sort of stay out of the situation with his daughter, but what do I know...
