Welcome back. I'm from the U.K too. Here for the 2nd time, it will be the last time, on day 12 today. Falling down isn't failing, staying down is failing.
Glad you're going to see your G.P. just accept all the help you are offered, keep yourself as busy as you possibly can, keep posting on here and be honest with yourself.

Hey people,
it's 6.40, I'm going for a swim to keep busy. I'm already thinking of buying beer on the way back to help me pass out. I've got plenty of excuses to drink but excuses they are indeed. Sorry for the constant posting, I really need to be accountable to something for the first few days. I don't want to start over again

Hey folks, thanks for the kind replies, I'm using them to keep going at the moment. I'm hanging onto this site like a hair in a biscuit at the moment. That first night was hard, it took me two months to cpmplete it, not even sleeping in a tent in the middle of nowhere stopped me. I can't go back this time. As I usefully heard before, it's become easier to not drink than to drink.
I'm going to keep posting, but from my old account JimJim, from the time I last tried to quit. silly Idea creating this new Slugonthefloor. There are plenty shamefullold old memories on that that will be helpfull.
