So good to me..... Really?

Monday's are the most dreaded day for a drunk like me.

A day of reckoning.

A day of sorting things out.

But when we stay dry.... It's a day of joy.

I noticed that there is a huge number of people on the board this morning.

I see those that come to support those that have not been sober.

Some have come to admit to drinking.

No matter why you are here I am grateful.

I need support and to support.

I feel sad and lonely today. But SR seems to make that ok.

I hate being an alcoholic. This is beyond anything I could have imagined for my life.

But I choose to put my arms around it.... This intangible.... And make it something that is.... but not all.

I have tears welling.... But I will not shed them for myself. For you maybe... I can change my circumstance... I cannot change yours.

I hope you all are sober today... Look up... Smile some... And know that we can all over come.

It's the start of a sober Tuesday in Australia , the internet is briiant at time travel , a day dosn't have much meaning when you live in a 24/7 city like you or I and have an internet .

To know and see somewhere on earth tomorow is sweeping towards me can help me deal with a difficult today .

I'm glad you posted this - it served as a reminder for me. My Mondays used to be excruciating - returning to work after drinking from Friday night 'til late Sunday night. Then I had the brilliant idea of taking a little something to work so I wouldn't withdraw. I appreciate the memory - so I will never go there again.

You aren't alone - we are right there with you. Together we are strong and courageous.

Ken, do you have any idea how many people all over the world wait for your post on a Monday, willing you to make it?
I'm one of them. I care a great deal for you and feel your sadness when you struggle. Something radical needs to change here.
A time to re-think your strategies for dealing with the weekend.

Monday morning might be a bit Ken xx its Sunday's you need to work on. Am happy to chat to you any time, though we probably need to make it before you drink rather than after....

Good morning! 27 days for me today. I even got through a weekend of endless traffic jams, disappointments, and a small car accident without even having the urge to drink. Now you know that's something!
