Hungover

Man eeeeeffffffff this feeling. On September 12th 2012 I was to have one year sober. I traded it in for 2 nights of binging. Meeting makers make it is not a freaking joke. I don't regret this research because it shows exactly where I'm at and how freaking pointless and self-sabotaging my drinking is. On to the next phase of my recovery, step 1. I admit it to all of you and to myself that my drinking is highly irresponsible and my actions that follow are completely unmanageable. My anxiety is heightened and i feel really shameful and guilty right now. I will do what I need to do to stay sober. I have to delay hugging and kissing my sweet baby because of this. On, August 26th, 2012, I'm deciding that I choose life and a damn good one for my son and I. I'm tearing up, which is great, get this stuff out of me!

Welcome back LLG - I'm sorry you caved.
looking back at your posts do you reckon you were gearing up for a fall for a while?

That was my modus operandi too.

I finally learned my lesson - to get help *before* it's too late.
I hope you will now too

Welcome back!

Hanging out at SR can be a great way to inspire yourself to stay sober, too.

Yes D I definitely was spiraling out a while back. It really all starts as soon I become "too busy" for meetings. Man I can so see now that just those 2-3-4 dedicated hours per week will save me sooo much time. I'm going to attend meetings thursday and friday before work and then one on each weekend day. In fact, I need to take my son with me to meetings on mon tue wed also because it really is that serious and I really feel that a 90 in 90 is in order.

The 90 in 90 helps...I committed myself to hours a day every day drinking for most of my life....I can handle five or six hours a week to save my life....The nice part about meetings for me...Is I love them...Get to see people I like and help people that need it....Can't go wrong with that.

I can stay sober in AA or I can get drunk.... I can't nor ever could have "a beer".

All the best.

LiveLikeGold - This time you'll be more determined. You're armed with the knowledge that you can't touch the stuff or you'll be right back to square one. Until I really believed that I was lost. We're all here for you - and we know you can do this thing.

Thank you immensely. It feels like a bag of bricks fell onto my head. Literally and figuratively.
