Alcoholic death
Thank you for reminding us just how dangerous this disease can be. A child left motherless, parents outliving their child.......so much potential.....just wasted on alcohol Prayers for strength and healing to you and your family.
So sorry to hear, Elizabeth and my condolences.
Lost my brother the same way; but he was only 34. I am happy he was able to live seven sober years before he succumbed to liver cancer as a result of cirrhosis. This is only one of the few consolations I get when I remember him.
It is so important we get it right and stop the insanity.
Some of us never get a second chance.
Thinking of you and yours....

I am sorry for your loss, wellwisher.
I just went through a bunch of old pictures and there were so many of us together. We were really close. I really can't believe she is gone looking at them.
My mom is dying of cancer also.
This just sucks. I am in the dumps.

I know........
My father died in 1985 from alcoholism. He was barely recognizable. He was so swollen, his liver was huge, and he drank himself into a coma. We had to sign papers to turn off the life support. It was awful. I was 15, and decided to internalize all of my emotions and I rebelled.
Now, at 42, I am 8 months sober, and I am doing everything my sponsor, and AA tells me to do. I am teachable again.
