I feel your pain Gilbert, but there was an admin on here who made a good point by saying sometimes we feel like we feel better when we are high, but when you give yourself a chance to be clean you feel so much better. I recently had a wake up call myself, bc I have a use oxycodone and I have been in major denial that I don't have a problem bc I function normally. I go to work, I pay my bills, I give good face, but when I realized I was taking a lot of them and think I can handle it. I realized that things aren't going well for me.

It is so hard to imagine a life without the pills bc I have been using for 7 years now and telling myself I can handle it. But reality is I can't. If I could I would stop. I want to, but I can't remember a time when I wasn't using. Which is the wake up call.

I just hope that I can get past this and be strong.

But like anything worth having it will take time and hard work. Then I have to quit my other vise which is cigarettes. Which is proving a harder habit to kick then the pills. But I recently went to the doctor and he gave me a clean bill of health so I figure I should change things now before I DO have a health problem.

Those are good things but maybe you need to think about more about that missing feeling?

Is your life basically the same as it was?
Most of us find a drinkers life is pretty empty without the drinking?
