Tangible evidence of how far I've come

I have been clean and sober for 109 days. When I did so, I also started running for the first time and got back into a fitness routine. Last night I ran my first 5k!!! I thought I'd have to walk some of it, but I just kept going! I have never been so proud of myself!! Proof I can do what I put my heart and mind into doing.

That is really cool! Congrats. Someday I hope to make it to the triple digits! A run like that takes much dedication. Amazing what we can do when we don't drink!

Many Congrats. Plan to start running myself very soon. Have just about enough energy to get through the day at the moment but it is improving. I'm at 6 weeks so looking at the 3 month mark to start. One step at a time!

Cheers

You've earned the right to be proud of yourself...two great accomplishments!

I like that you've given yourself the exercise routine and running...improves your health, gives you the "natural high" with endorphins and now, another sense of accomplishment.
