Was I hiding It?
After not drinking for 9 days, I see major changes in my personality and attitude at work. Not to mention my complexion looks much better. That leads to my question. Was I really hiding this from anyone? I drank mainly Vodka because it is "odorless" (really, its clear, but does smell). Anyway, anyone care to answer whether or not they were hiding it, or thought they were at least?

I thought so. I can remember looking up and down the street to make sure nobody saw me going into my first meetings. Wasn't till I mentioned to my sponsor one night that I had thought someone I knew had seen me go in, that he told me the following:
Almost everytime you drank, you did it around other people. Generally you drank until you could hardly walk. At that point you may or may not have left where you were drinking and stumbled down the street. If, for some reason, you didn't leave, then you probably passed out there. On one occasion while drinking I drove and ended up taking out a power pole that served power to at least 5 square miles of homes. Another time I drove drunk and was stopped on one of the town's main street and 'helped' to the police car, all the while telling the officer what I thought of his actions. On all these occasions, did I REALLY think no one saw me and REALISTICALLY would they REALLY mind if I decided to straighten my life out and get off the streets?
I think that we'd all like to think that no one sees us, but when reality sets in, Vodka is NOT odorless.

It is like your zip is undone.
Everyone can see it but you.
They may not know specifically, but they know something is up.
Who cares?
You are 9 days sober and looking good!
Don't be tempted to give too much info if asked about the change.
Sorry, but is a cruel world, so have to be smart.
Well done.

While on vacation last week with my family, my mom surprised me my mentioning something I did a few years ago while drinking wine. She never nagged at me etc......but she noticed and was concerned about how much wine I drank. Sooooo......I thought I was more "together" than I actually was
