Day 10 - relapse threat level code orange

Hi,

It's day 10. I finally got a bit of sleep, real sleep last night. Up early for yoga instead of that meeting I like so much. Going into a long weekend of hard work and high pressure. I know from past history that this is a major opportunity for relapse for me.

Let's see what happens!

Hope you're all have a good day so far.

I wouldn't wait and "see what happens", take action during this code orange level.

Nothing changes, if nothing changes.

Get to a meeting, call a sober buddy, keep posting here....

Try to take some action to prevent the relapse.

If working this weekend is triggering for you, can you take some time to relax and get outside and enjoy the summer?

Yes I agree!!
Get a plan of action in place, call sober friends and put them on standby. Treat this as an amber alert, don't wait for it to go red....you've got loads of support here xx

Let's see your great post of success is when the weekend is over! My weekends, too, are filled with work and overwhelming stress and big time pressure. Thankfully, I no longer feel the need to "drink through them". A clear head and level playing field await me every day and I like that alot. So do my bosses. Walk the walk, gincognito - you are doing awesome and it truely does get better (and easier) with every day, one day at a time. I'm rooting for you - onward and upward! Hugs, NBC

AA meeting?

Time to say some prayers to change that code color. When there isn't a meeting, it's between you and a power greater than you, so go to it! The time is Now.

Enjoy the work and the pressure. Live in the moment and focus. Is there a meeting after work that you can get to? So you can interact with others?

Texts exchanged, meetings planned, ding ding ding threat level reduced to yellow. I think I may be getting the hang of this again.

But don't forget to stay vigilant citizens. The boozy menace may return at any time.

Gincognito,
Today is my DAY 10 also.... we can do this! Lets stay focused together! Meetings every day are helping me... 9 in the last 9 days. Started filling out the AA Step Packets (step 1) yesterday; you might try that if you haven't already.
Hang in there!!

G.... I have read every post of yours since day 1.

I recommend you go back and do the same. No better way to secure this weekend but to remind yourself of where you have been.

I am proud of you and want very much to read on Monday that we both stayed sober.

Also post here this weekend. I will be hear and would love updates.

Ken

Don't sit around and wait for something bad to happen. Get out, and go do something. It will really help. You can do it!
