I love this site, but am finding a new use for it. There are so many inspirational quotes, recovery things to pin,etc. I'm also finding if I look at what I've pinned there are so many things I want to do and so many good ideas to fill the new time we have now that we're not drinking.
Pinterest / Home It's a real time eater, but it's fascinating-might be a very good distraction when you need one.

I'm going to use it to plan some down time things to do. I look at my boards and am amazed at how many interests I have that have nothing to do with my real life. I need to change that-there is a major disconnect somewhere.

I never linked mine to Facebook. I don't need everything I pin going out to the FB world. It would make my friends insane anyway. I'm addicted to Pinterest as well 
You can still look for people if not linked to FB. Just type username into search bar on top left of page. Also try searching "recovery, sober, inspiration ,etc." you'll find all kinds of cool stuff!

Not only is it a great distraction, but i think it also taps into our creative side and reminds us that there's a world of ideas out there...and things to do!! Our minds have been sitting dormant through drinking...
A frequent question on SR is "how did you fill your time when you stopped drinking".....well, Pinterest certainly offers up alls kinds of options and reminders of things we haven't even thought of...it's a great site
