"Detoxing" again.

Hello everyone,

I'm back on day one. I've been really slacking on even making a good effort to stay sober.. The motivation seems to only be with me in short intervals.. Like one minute I'm committed to staying sober forever, and the next I'm saying "eff it."

I need to remind my self NOT to worry about staying sober FOREVER but to focus on not getting high Just For Today..

Today might be tough. My drug of choice isn't physically addictive but I've done it the passed 5 nights in a row so my body really needs to detox from it.

Are you going to seek some help with learning to stay stopped. I personally dont believe in being able to stay sober alone. I would only last a stort time trying that.

I am a member of AA and just love my daily life now. Its still hard sometimes but I have things to really help now.

Look for some of the programs one of um, has to appeal to you if you what to really put it down. And not have to detox again.

Jake.... I am glad you are back and posting. I agree with you. You can only decide at this moment what to do. Hell with forever. We all know it never comes.

Rest your body and mind tonight. Stay on here and read some. The is an active list of inspiring stuff. Read about sugarbears experience.

Jake, are you involved in NA or committed?

Got a sponsor, a Home Group? Are you asking your H.P. every day for help?

I wish you the best.

I can honestly say that I am not committed or active in NA..

I try to call people from the program and talk to them but I always feel so awkward and I can't think of anything to say..

I don't have a sponsor or a homegroup, and as far as my Higher Power goes, I try to pray and ask for strength but most of the time I don't even know what I'm praying too..

I guess these are all things I need to work on.
