My wife and I still enjoy just hopping in the car and taking a drive. Just buy Cokes and snacks and we are ready to go.

I don't think so, but maybe deep down inside, I am just resentful that I can't drink ??
I don't think that's abnormal......There are still times, even after a couple years of sobriety, when a glass of wine sounds good. I imagine diabetics go through the same thing when there's a lot of desserts around - sounds good, but it's just not worth it....

Congrats on your 9 days, by the way.... At nine days, it was hard for me to see a billboard with alcohol on it, let alone think about doing anything socially. I can understand your wife's point of view, though. The trick is to make it work for both of you (maybe not right now, but as something to work toward?).

I think the more you know about yourself (i.e. the reason you don't enjoy these things), the easier it is to work on a solution.
