Hello all,
Day 956 today for me! Two years, 7 1/2 months and counting! I hope this message finds you all well. If you are early in sobriety, don't focus on the long term.... just do what you need to do to stay sober today. Then, stay sober again tomorrow. One day at a time.
Do whatever you need to do to stay sober.....This is what worked for, and continues to work, for me - - - Develop/work on your relationship with a higher power. Pray. Go to a meeting. Talk to another alcoholic, one who can share his/her experience, strength and hope. Work the 12 steps. Get a sponsor.
I love my new life of sobriety, but I need to continue to work at it. If I don't, I can very easily slide down that slippery slope back into the bottle.

I absolutely love this. From the first day to 6 years....it is truly inspiring.
I’m so much happier being sober, and healthier, but the doubt nags ‘You’re going to mess it all up’. Stories like yours give me hope this is for keeps
