Today is Day 2 for me....

I had a very difficult time sleeping last night and am so tired today. I drank two cups of coffee and had a big breakfast, I hadn't eaten breakfast in a year and a half. Besides being tired, I feel positive today and can't wait to skip my usual Thursday Happy Hour after work.

Alright Congrats

I couldnt imagine doing anything other than still vomiting and shaking apart, and sleep forget it I didnt get a wink till the end of day 3. So glad you didnt have to go thru the detox torture.

Keep going strong. I hope you find a program and people to surround yourself with.

Sounds like you're doing well, congratulations .
My weekends after giving up were bed-a-thons, i guess i had 15 years of not resting properly to catch up on.
My sleeping time was adrift for the first few months but the quality was far better than when i was drinking .
As long as i don't have to much coffee/tea my sleeping now is great.

Bestwishes, M

I love it that you're actually looking forward to skipping Happy Hour - that's a great attitude.

Sleep was the hardest part of early sobriety for me. About three days and then it fell into place. I drank Sleepytime Tea, read, and got a natures sounds machine, which I still use today. You are doing so good - keep on keepin on, ILPN - you are doing great!!

Great job on getting to day 2! Don't worry, you'll return to a normal, nonalcohol induced sleep soon!!
