Scared of the drive home

God and willpower willing I will be 48 hrs sober soon but I am afraid of the ride home tonight. Three bars await me on my way home from work and I'm embarrassed to say that they have been on my mind all night. I pray I can pass them by. And there's this little nagging voice telling me "hey its your weekend off just grab some beers and enjoy some tv when you get home" truth is I've done that every night for so long I cant remember when it started. I keep telling myself just go by just go by just go by its easy as 1 2 3 right? God help me!

I know how hard that can be. Sending strength to you to get home quickly and alcohol-free! You can do it.

New meaning for the phrase "pass the bar" here lol We don't want to be attorneys, we just want to arrive home with no detours. Or blue lights in the rear view mirror!

Hope you were able to get home and resist the urge to stop on the way!

Thanks for all the support its really needed. I made it home only passed by 1 bar (they don't sell packaged goods which i've learned from a previous experience) and took an alternate longer route to bypass the other 2...Stopped at WaWa and got me some chocolate and Pepsi! Looks like i'll be on a sugar high tonight! I want to cry while I write this I don't know how I didn't see the way alcohol has taken over my life. And once again thanks for the support.
