Talking 55 Days!

Well everyone.. I'm almost 2 months sober. I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. I appreciate it more than you know.

I've been using AVRT and this board and i'm feeling better and better each day. I'm getting back into running regularly, and reading. It's amazing all the motivation that has come back since I quit drinking.

I've been several situations where alcohol was present, and I felt in control, and didn't have any cravings. I actually felt proud in some weird way, proud that I don't need to alter my mind to have a good time.

Every day i'm grateful that I stopped this at 25 years old.

Thanks everyone!!

That's great. It's so good to reach those milestones isnt it?
I'm 9 weeks today. Still early days for us both, but reckon we're doing just fine xx

That's great to hear, Britt!!

Take it from this 45 year old, you're going to save yourself a ton of misery.

I think it's brilliant you have the wisdom to stop at 25, I sure didn't.

Congratulations! so pleased for you!

I'm almost 4 months sober and I totally get the motivation thing - since I've been sober I've actually wanted and NEEDED to be active and enjoying life... before I was just going through the motions, like I was half asleep.

I'm also so pleased and grateful that I did this at 24. It gives me pleasure to know that I will be longer sober than I will have been a drunk.

All the best & congrats again! x

Wow, it's impressive, good job!
I see what you mean about being proud in some (not so) weird way.

You really inspired me to go running, I'm very grateful for that!

Congratulations!

Live2Run, 55 days? You are FANTASTIC. Congratulations. By all means get all the junk out of you life at a young age. It will always be one less problem you have to deal with.

Britt, good for you and you are so lucky (and wise) to do this when you have so much of your life ahead of you.
