Not the best day!
Well, I must admit, today hasn't been the best day so far (18 days sober today). Had a good morning, very productive, but this afternoon I came over very tired and achieved virtually nothing. Got in from work, ate my tea and then systematically ate just about everything that was sweet in the fridge/cupboard. Tasty at the time but feel a bit of a pig now. Ironic really, i replied to a post yesterday encouraging a fellow SR member not to eat sugary foods and to go exercise instead! (humble pie eaten)
Sorry it couldn't be a positive post today but I know from previous sobriety attempts to expect days like these. I know it will pass if I don't drink!
Nearly the weekend

good for you not drinking.I understand, there are days just like these. When I stopped drinking I naively thought life would be great but now realize life is just life-some bad days some good. I always say though, even the bad days are better when sober
Recovery (like life) is never steady state, and hard days will come along. Eckhart Tolle talks a lot about accepting what 'is', and how when we resist what is, we cause ourselves pain, sadness, anxiety. That's not to say you should be complacent, but today you feel a bit down, and that's okay. It just is.

Indeed it will pass. Just putting down the drink doesnt stop life, life still goes on. So not all day of every day is a bed of roses.
