How much were you drinking when you said, enough is enough?!

For me, I went absolutely nuts on alcohol for the past 3 months. I would get off work by midnight, and drink til 7 am. Many nights, I'd have a few big, strong cocktails, and have a bottle of various 3 olives flavored vodkas and American honey whiskey that I would sip on right out of the bottle. An entire bottle would last me 3 days most times. Yikes!!

Too much

I didnt even get giggly or ever feel slightly drunk just totally hammered .

Today its 3weeks (21 days sounds longer)that i havent touched a drop, although i feel so much better i no theres still along way to go.Every day that little voice says to me it wont hurt to have just one .One what ? one glass? ,one bottle ?.Im choosing one more day without and its getting easier.

One day at a time will eventually be something i dont have to think about and just be normal ( whatever normal is lol).

The fist time i said it about 15 pints of bitter ==> 10 years later ==> 2 bottles of whiskey .
Don't think it matters quite how much you have, it's the effects it has on you and your life.

About a bottle of Vodka, & 6ltrs of 9% Lager (Tennents Super) every 24hrs, although my tolerance was so shot, sometimes i'd drink more, sometimes less. . . The worst part was coming out of blackout at 2.30am, no booze, and 3 hours until the corner shop opened to take the newspapers in, the Indian owner passing me a bottle out through a partially opened door with a sad look on his face. On days when I had no money he would give me it anyway, an intelligent man, he knew that I could die in withdrawl, he once called an Ambulance when I passed out in the gutter.
I really do not miss that pitiful existence.

either 8 cans of 9% lager or 2-3 bottles of red wine, this week i have been terrible 12 bottles of wine over 3 days fml!!!!

Approximately every third day, two bottles of wine.

For me it was never the amount which destroyed me but the sleepless nights/obsession/dark thoughts and near death hangovers. But probably about 6/7 bottles of wine a week plus lager, lots.
