Back again
Hello everyone.
I joined here at New Year and stayed sober till mid Feb when I slowly slipped back into it. Fast forward to June and I was worse than ever before, drinking every day, changing drinks as they 'didn't affect me as much'(bad idea).
Anyway, here I am again, determined to stay sober forever this time. It's day 5 for me and hopefully I will find solace in SR. It really worked last time, until I drifted away from the boards
I know there is no point beating myself up over my failure. I recall how well physically and mentally I felt after a few weeks and I want to be that person again, only permanently.
Congrats to all who I remember from Jan who stayed sober and hope everyone else since then is also getting through this.

Welcome back! I am on this board every free minute I have. It keeps me straight. I already care about A LOT of people on this board. I don't want to let anyone down. Stick around, theres a lot of support here =)

Dee-I knew someone would ask that! I am doing AVRT, as before. some might say well tht didn't work for you last time. It did work for me until I chose to ignore it, thinking I ws 'cured'.
sorry for bd typing-the 'A' isn't working on my keybord properly
I just need to keep in mind how much better I'm feeling-its great to wke up on St morning SOBER.

I had to realize step one. I am powerless over alcohol and my life had become unmanageable.
I am still dealing with step one after 6 months of sobriety. I did 3 social things in the past month that my sponsor wasn't real happy about. I went out in a boat and had no "out" if I needed it. I went to a place that I use to drink, called Wolfies and watched a band with another member from AA, and I went to an AA BBQ, of which she approved.
I need to realize that I am powerless over alcohol. It can sneak up on me at any time and I just don't realize that fully yet. Cunning, powerful, baffling........... I need to look up those words and see what they mean every now and then. It can sneak up on me when I least expect it.

Welcome back!! I also remember your posts as we started the same time!! Like you I slipped back into my old ways. I am starting again and will look forward to seeing how you are doing!! We can do this!!! Lind

It just crept up, there is no moderation for me-it's all or nothing.
Good to see you back too and it's good to be back.
SR helped me so much last time-you read so many things on here that just make sense nd make things clear.
