Because I am Sober Today I....
I always love reading these types of threads so I thought I would start one today and see where it goes.
Because I am sober today I can:
1) Deal with the trueness of my own being and not shy away from in behind a cloud of numbness.
2) I can listen to the birds sing their song and actually be there in the mometn
3) I can be trusted with other people's children and not "watch" them through a haziness.
4) I can work and truly be present in the moment and be the best person I can be.
5) I can read sober recover and know where I am and see myself of every story I read.
Enjoy the day!

I wake up without a hangover, heaven. No palpitations, not remembering the night before, what I said, what I did, if I upset anybody, did I row with my husband. I can embrace the day and not dread it. It's a wonderful feeling.

Hard to post on a thread like this day 1...... Maybe even less than that.
But allt he more reason to respond to your question.

Because I am sober today I could work out and stick to my diet and set up a dinner date and write a to-do list and follow-through on the things on my list and do laundry and eat healthy . . and who knows what other greatness I will wreak upon this Earth today?
(all of this is as opposed to getting drunk all day, which is probably what I would be doing if I were still drinking)
