Made it Thru a Big Trigger!
Made it Thru a Big Trigger!
Last night, I spent 30 minutes on the phone with my ex-boyfriend who can be very critical, sarcastic, and argumentative (why was I talking to him? I am not sure).
Not only did I handle the conversation much more positively and tactfully than I would have before, but afterwards I did not drink to feel better!
I didn't even want to drink because I knew how awful it would make me feel in the long run. Instead, I got in a workout, talked to a friend, enjoyed a healthy snack, and took a bubble bath. I feel so happy today and proud of myself for changing this negative behavior pattern that has hindered my life for so long.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Nice job, fellow class of June member! Good realizing that drinking isn't the solution, it's just adding another problem. Also, sorry for the unsolicited advice, but life is too short to waste it talking to negative people. There are plenty of people in this world to associate with who aren't trying to bring you down.
Good luck
