What a BEAUTIFUL Day!!!
One week ago today I decided 'it's time".... One week ago today, was the last time i woke up and tried to "fix" myself with the hair of the dog, only to vomit it back up on myself. One week ago today I made the best decision of my life!!
Everyone told me each day it will get better. The first few days were a bit bumpy, but they were right...each day IS getting better AND easier. Today is the second day i have woken up feeling amazing. Instead of it taking me an hour and a half to "wake up"... within 15 minutes i feel like a ball in a pin ball machine.."bing bang zoom"!!! Im ready to conquer the world one sober day at a time!
I know how hard it is to get started and so many people (myself included) have already set themselves up for a downfall before they even try...they self defeat.. make excuses etc... trust me..trust all the people here that are doing it...it CAN be done!!! and I will listen to my peers here who also tell me... "if you think you feel this great after 1 week...wait a month! then wait 2 months..then wait 3 months"... you will feel like you never felt before! I cannot wait!!!
It's nice you know.....to wake up with a smile on my face..instead of waking up with no expression and just reaching for a bottle of desperation....

I've found that sober mornings are a good time to work out, run, lift, yoga, whatever floats your boat. I'm pretty much chomping at the bit now when I roll out of bed, and as the weeks roll by it's nice to see improvement on the inside mirrored by improvement on the outside.

so very happy to hear of your decision and your new-found joy and appreciation of life. another thing that i LOVE about being sober, in addition to the waking up with no hangover, is the natural fatigue i experience at night before going to bed, and not just passing out! so, this is how normal people live. haha! wishing you the very best
