Relapse
congrats on your 3 weeks Danielle
Don't be in too much of a sweat to rack the numbers up tho - this is your recovery happening - right now...the journey is the destination if you follow me?
Thats the important bit, not the numbers IMO
Have patience - everything will turn out

Wow...there's lots of great advice here, danielle, not to mention an absolutely beautiful avatar from saraylah!
Glad you are here, and doing the right thing. As many have mentioned, a slip is not a fail, unless you don't get back up. Glad you got back up. Congrats on 3 weeks.

Phew! That was a really rough weekend for me to get through sober, but I did it. I have to admit though, I was closing to falling off the wagon. But I knew I would be so angry with myself when Monday came if I did and I just kept that thought in mind. Thankfully, I woke up happy this morning.

I was re-reading this thread and I can't believe how far I've come in just a little over a month. The day after my last drink, which was when I first posted, felt like it was the worst day of my life, and the most shameful. (Of course it wasn't, I've had plenty more horrible experiences when drinking). But now it already seems like a distant memory. I'm still getting urges to drink which I'm sure will pass after around 4 months or so like it did last time. Who knows, maybe it will end sooner this time around, fingers crossed!

I want to thank all of you for your support. You guys really helped me get through this first month. I know i don't post a lot on other threads but I do read them and have been in the chat room quite a bit talking so some of you. There were a couple days when the urges were so strong I might not have been able to get through it without this site. I really do appreciate you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I don't even think about it anymore. I'm so happy I reached this point again. The first time I got sober it took me several months to get to the point where I didn't think about drinking all the time. This time it happened much quicker and I'm grateful for that.
