I'm starting to get those really annoying, repetative thoughts now like I always do. Oscar (the little voice in my head) is telling me, like he always does mid-week, that I'm all fine now and the weekend will be here soon and I can have a few beers keep it under control this time. I'm even getting excited about it and loath myself for it at the same time.

I hate Oscar and what he has done to me. I wish I could just shoot the little bugger, but he's always there taunting me.

Get to the back of the bus Oscar. Better still, get off the damn bus!

i can relate. for me, it was the voice of the disease of alcoholism. its a disease that told me i didnt have a disease, everythings allright, keep on drinkin.

after ya get oscar off the bus, kill the lil *******. he's a liar.

Oscar is just doing what he always does because he doesn't know any better, but you do! Drinking isn't going to help because he'll just be back at it tomorrow (and he'll be feeling even stronger). The way to get rid of him is to make his less powerful by not going along with his insanity.

Eat something, distract yourself, google "getting through cravings" or just hang out here. You'll thank yourself in the morning!

Congrats! Yep, it would be great if we didn't break down and be so self indulgent. I decided that I resented that a mere substance, the drug ethanol, could become a needed part of my chemistry, that I felt like I would die without it, when I was dieing with it fast.

Remember to hang in there, or hangover.

As others have said, Oscar is a liar. He wants to stay with you and is terrified that you are going to let him go. He's doing all he can to cling on to your thoughts... don't let him.
