A question about stopping drinking
Hi Sharp and Others curious about AVRT,
As to links to information on AVRT, either I missed it, or no one has yet mentioned the vast database of AVRT discussion right here on the SR Forums Secular Recovery web-pages.
Here's the link to the beginning of the fourth of the AVRT thread series.

The book Zencat recommended is the ideal resource, though. But you could start learning about AVRT here on SR until (and even after) it arrives in your mailbox.

Welcome back....
I too was a blackout drinker...I got in all sorts of dangerous situations
but kept on drinking...then I read a book on alcoholism.
"Under The Influence" by Milam & Ketcham and it has a sequel
"Beyond The Influence' by Ketcham & ???
Amazon usually has both very inexpensively.
While not everything applied to my drinking...it certainly opened my eyes..
Yes we can and do recover. AA remains an awesome
adventure in living sober and well for me
An experience I'm so grateful I connected to....
