I'm so scares
So many of us have been right where you're at - I promise you.:ghug3 It's what alcohol does to us..... chemically, it creates depression and anxiety and tells us that's who we ARE, and it's so not true.
Alcoholism affects so many great people - you didn't ask for this and you're not any more hopeless than we were/are. Don't believe all that negative self-talk - you deserve better!:ghug3

You know, I used to drink when I got all stressed out and had problems. i drank to suppress them. But, when I woke up the next morning, I still had to deal with those problems, but now with a darn hangover!
I have learned that it's okay to feel pain. In fact, it's a natural thing. It's a "feeling." and feeling is actually good.
It's tough, but your life gets so much better each day.

I really appreciate all of ur kind words everyone. Before I wrote a post I felt so helpless that I would never get out of this. But knowing I'm not alone and that you all have been successful in beating ur own addictions just makes me feel so hopeful. I'm so glad I got to talk to all of u. U have already helped makes me realize I can beat this. God bless u all!
I'm sorry you're still struggling, soscared.
I think if you want change, you need to make change.
That's really the bottom line.
There's some great suggestions in this thread.
Read it all again and look at what you're prepared to do.
I understand you're scared of your family finding out, but if you continue, chances are they'll find out anyway.
Addiction's no respecter of secrets
Make a decision for change - you'll look back and be so glad you did.
so...what are you prepared to do?
