Hi

I am so glad I found this site. I have been lost for a long time and I really needed to find a safe place to talk. I have been sober for two months until last Friday had a good scare and now am more resolved than ever that I need help with this.

I would be grateful for any help or advice on keeping on track and I hope someday I can repay the favor.

Welcome Laure!
I have been in recovery for just over a year now. This site has helped me stay off the booze because having people to relate to is a huge part of an alcoholic's recovery. You will find a lot of understanding and compassion here.

Hi and Welcome,

This is a safe and supportive place to visit.

Congratulations on having 2 sober months. Like you, I found that my resolve grew as the days and months went by.

What worked for me was balance. I try to work on all aspects of my life - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - each day. I find that my body craves the balance.

What changes have you made in your life, besides stopping drinking, in the two sober months? I think it's helpful to remember that the hard work begins with recovery.

Alcoholics Anonymous has enabled me to get sober and stay sober for over 20 yrs...
May be just the ticket for you as well.

All the best.
