Sober 30 Days today!
I am so excited to be celebrating 30 days. Well, the celebration is a little lackluster given this horrible head cold I have acquired, but I'm taking myself out for dinner and a movie as soon as I start to feel better. I did take myself to a meeting today to collect my 30 day chip. I feel as though the words on it were written just for me. To thine own self be True.
All the years that I struggled to own this illness were the worst torture of my life. I wanted so badly to succeed, but at what? Drinking? Really? When I think about that it blows my mind. Finally owning it and realizing that I can never, ever win has liberated me in a way I do not have words to describe...and that blows my mind even more! Thank you God, and thank you everyone who posts on this forum, I can relate. This was a very good day.

Congrats on 30 dayst free. I know the struggle. I also know the freedom. I wanted to seceded in the baddest way. I mind was really blown when I did succeed. I'm always impressed when victory comes through differ ways from to be recovered. Its rocks to be recovered...thank de lawedy there are many ways to get it done. Blessed be dammit.
