Calling All Educators....
Good for you Sugarbear!
Sorry for my delayed response, but I was teaching all day and in therapy this evening.
I will tell you that working with kids is rewarding, challenging, and keeps me so busy I NEVER think about drinking while working. My challenge was always getting home from school without stopping at a liquor store to calm down my brain- at least that's how it started.
Best of luck!

Congratulations Sugarbear! I have the same job. I'm a paraeducator in 5th grade and I work with kids on the sped spectrum. I love my job but it can be challenging some years. I'm out for the summer next Thursday so I'm really loving my job now
I have 20+ years experience as a special education teacher. I just haven't taught for the last 11 years, so getting my foot (back) in the door is a good thing!
1:1 assistant teacher is almost like being a teacher, for now.
They are checking one more reference at the school I was subbing at and I am hoping it is a positive thing.....
Until that contract is signed.... just hoping this is where I am meant to be.....
