Lost My Wallet Went Into Alcoholic Panic

Couldn't find it and thought of the times I lost it in bars, casinos, or worse circumstances. Freaked then realized I had not been to any bars, casinos, or worse. Took a breath and found it in another pair of pants. Funny how the past can rise up and bite your ass in your mind. It was good to know circumstances had changed and solutions were just calming down and knowing I was in control. I once lost my car. Never found it. Also lost 3 wives, homes, dogs. I was a careless drinker.

Dear God I know! On the way home I couldnt find my cell phone. Instant panic sank in. It brought me back to the very fuzzy mornings wondering where i went what i did who i talked to---where my money went, where are my keys.

It was in the backseat LOL

Glad we dont have to deal with that noise anymore!

Do you know still to this day, if I get a headache, (which this time of year with allergies) for a second, I think it's a hangover. My mind goes right back to that lifestyle. It's weird right? Cunning, baffleing, and poweful!!!

"alcoholic panic" - love that phrase! I had a stomach virus last year and remember thinking immediately, "well, this must be it - my liver has finally given up" even tho I had been sober for years at that point and medically cleared! The calm after the storm of one of those moments is such a blessing. Thanks for sharing - great post! Jomey
