Get your butt back to meetings. The ONLY one that suffers from you not going is you. You know that. If you want what they have then you need to go to any length to get it.
Since most of us have seen the door from both sides, we will never give up on you, surprisingly even if you give up on yourself. I know at our group we always start with a moment of silence and a silent prayer for any still out there. Come on back in and join us. We miss you

Big step for you! That's awesome!
I think we also tend to be all or nothing people. We are not machines. Not many people start out making a huge, difficult change by being perfect from day one. Just don't give up. Hopefully we continue learning helpful things about ourselves and continue in the right direction.
And just think - you might actually be important to OTHER people. They are not just important to you. I think the response you received from SR and this person you met in AA proves just that. People need you too! You are worth it. Keep it up!
