Facilities Around Fredericksburg, VA

Tried to PM a moderator to see where to post this, but need 5 posts to enable PM option. Apologize if this is the wrong place.

I am an alcoholic seeking advice on the facilities around Fburg. I am an alcoholic that will probably need in-patient care.

Many thanks in advance.

First, welcome to SR! Second, have you gone to your family physician for a general health check up? You've been abusing your body for a while so it's a good idea to make sure everything's going well. Alsom your family physician can be a great wealth of information on where to get treatment for your addiction. Don't be shy about it. My doctor was very supportive and happy to hear about my decision to get help. It's better than carrying on the way you are!

Using the SR site i did find a place called Serenity Home. Of course, me being in Wisconsin, i have no clue how good they are but there ya go. Good luck on treatment and if you can't get in right away consider AA. It's gotten me through 89 Days so far. ;-)

Hi M5mark

Although people can share their experience, it's not usually our practice to recommend specific facilities here on the forums.

This is a national database of rehabs etc - enter your location and you'll find many results...from there you can look at details and brief outlines, make a few calls perhaps, and hopefully find something

Thanks. Have had check-up with doc. Amazingly well considering.

Have conflicting reports on the local facilities here. Was hoping for someone with first-hand experience.

Thank you both.

Your doctor should be aware of available facilities, what did doc say?

Had appt with counselor today. She advised going elsewhere, so I am.

Many thanks to you all.
