Opiate withdrawls, it has been since 4/9 and he is still very sick!

It has been since 4/9 and he is still very sick.... Sweats, stomache cramps, leg cramps, insomnia, severe shaking, vomiting, all over body pain............ IS THIS NORMAL FOR THIS LONG????? PLEASE HELP... He did this cold turkey from time released morphine and lortabs. Results of 3 neck surgeries. We just found out a week into recovery that one of the fused plates were in there backwards causing pinching of the nerves. He doesn't want to be on the morphine or lortabs anymore, but he still has neck pain. I am not sure it is because his natural endorphines are not working right yet, but he is being torn in two different directions. HELP!

You really need to take him to a doc, doc. I wouldn't waste any time. No one here can do anything for you except offer prayer and support. I hope it all works out!

(((Doc))) - Welcome to SR! Though we are here to offer you support and ES&H (experience, strength and hope), we can't give medical advice. I agree that it sounds as if he needs to see a dr. ASAP.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Please go to the ER or your own Dr - it really is the best and safest option here, Doc.
