I've been a chronic insomniac most of my life, especially when not drinking. Used to drink just to pass out if not sleep. The last two nights I've actually slept. No idea why or how but I ain't complaining. It must be like what normies experience. A little breath meditation before bed helps me. Good luck, I know it sucks.

I have a couple of hypnosis apps downloaded onto my iPhone. I don't know if they do what they're supposed to do on a subliminal level, but they do relax me quite a lot. You can set them to not wake you up at the end of the session.

I have had the same trouble as well. It does get better though at least for me it has. I have found reading relaxes me to almost where I fall asleep. I have read Jesse James book and it was great. Some reason I have been attracted to books of people who have had abuse problems. I am reading a book on Josh Hamilton now and will probably finish it in a couple of days. So far that has worked for me. I hope you start getting some rest. Good luck.

yes; i had more energy and was more restless when i first quit; lasted about two weeks. putting in a vigerious day and eating spegs before bed helped, so did running a fan (white noise). I tried to make good use of the increased time I was awake.

It worked so well that outside of work I"m now sleeping a bit too much~~!
