Night out tonight with colleagues, night out tomorrow night with extended family, night out Sunday with husband, night out Monday with friends and night out Tuesday with dads extended family. I hope I can cope!

The irony is with such a busy nocturnal schedule, probably the only way you will get through it is sober.

Thanks everyone. I survived the first hurdle - just! My work friends had decorated our table at the restaurant so the waiters were taking extra special care of me, including bringing over 2 flaming sambucas for everyone - I managed to get out of it but oooohhhhh that smell!
Now for tonight! And if anything is going to drive a girl to drink its my family! Onwards and upwards. X

Keep your focus espkie - remember why you're doing this recovery thing...and remember it's the first drink that always does the damage,...so resist

Better to say ! I can cope, rather than I hope I can cope. Be positive, think how good you feel when you get through it all.

I know its tolate now but if its your birthday tell them you dont want to do anything. I had a good stretch of sobriety right up until my birthday last year. I fell off the wagon and got run over by it. My birthday is in 11 days and I will be at AA and on here. I will be eating fattening ass food too. After my relapse I am so lucky to be seeing #37 that Im not going to screw it up with alcohol.

Happy Birthday weekend epskie. That is a lot of celebrating.

You only have to stay away from one drink, the first one.

Have an escape plan for all those events, you may need it.

Wishing you continued sobriety.
