I have had some down days, but there is light, I am never going back to it no matter how bored or socially inadequate I feel at this present time .

keep on climbing upwards and do not look down !

3 glasses of wine a week, now that would be a form of extreme torture.

It was awful nice to have a dozen raw oysters and a cold beer watching the surf roll in at Gulf Shores, or a tall porter with Rouladen or Schniztel, or greasy local pizza, or wings and a pitcher.

These things to me, are synonymous with drinking beer. It's my Achilles Heel.

Yes, this resonated with me as well. But now I think, I can have ANOTHER dozen oysters with the money that I would have spent on beer. :-) I recently did this while on the west coast.

For me, alcohol makes doesn't make anything better. Even food.

Add me to those that is always shocked when people don't finish their drink. My wife can do this. It is a magic trick I was never able to figure out.

BhaaaaHaHa! Towards the end of my drinking career I would use the Extra Large fast food cup, pour my whole bottle of wine in, add some ice - that would last a few hours! So, technically that was only ONE glass a night! I guess it all depends on what size that "one glass" is!

Welcome pickledboodah!
Haha, magic tricks!
My magic trick was watch how this whole bottle disappears!
And time magically vanished & I'd be in the next day wondering, how'd I get here?
