I just slept 9 straight hours. . .

And woke up with a clear head and great spirits. Quit over the weekend after a relapse. Body thankfully back in a good rhythm.

Thank you sobriety.

Doesn't it feel great Change? I am just waking up from the best nights sleep in over a month, alcohol free. I think when we are wrapped up in a binge/relapse/drinking we rationalize that we don't feel too bad, that we are thinking just fine and accomplishing things enough. But all it takes for me is a day or two of sobriety and some sleep, and I am quickly reminded of what I've been missing.
Have a great sober day ...

This might sound weird, but the most wonderful thing is that my mind is clearing up. Our minds become so fogged up we don't even realize we aren't thinking clearly.

Plus I discovered I am in less pain now, then when I had so much oxycodone and all the other drugs. I am on two right now. thyroid and diabetis.

I thank God, I was able to break free from that chain.

Hey C4G

It's probably the aspect of sobriety that motivates me the most, waking up with a clear head and drinking some good tea.

I can't remember which one of us said this, but I remember a post where someone commented that sometimes they miss their evening buzz, but the "morning" buzz of being sober and feeling good was so much better.

I totally get this thought.
