Whew!
Whew!
The past seven days have been very emotionally charged. Anticipation, disappointment, celebrations and awakenings. This past weekend was the first major sober holiday for this chef. It was challenging in more than a few ways. Made it through unscathed and wisened. In the kitchen, it is always safety first. In sobriety, all I can say is thank the good Lord for SR and slip-resistant souls!
Awesome, so happy to get to know a chef! I'm an amateur, although I've lost my urge to cook since quitting. I think it's because I drank while cooking. Could sure use some kitchen encouragement help!

I also like that "slip resistant souls". I have to use that one. Micheal Simon who I worked under for years will love it.
Keep on doing the next right thing.
22 years in the business myself. Cant believe I survived the drugs and booze. We are truly miracles.

Inda, I simply adore Michael Symon. Any nonblondechef-isms I can toss out to the world I am more than happy too! I agree, it's a tough industry. Definately a factor in the escalation of my dis-ease from moderate drinker to chip carrying alchie.
I am so, so, so fortunate to have you all here at SR. I have the most awesomely wonderful classmates who mean the world to me. Onward and upward and above the influence. Love and hugs, T
