all over the place
hi all,
well it's day 9 for me, and i've got myself a sponsor. i'm really excited, and scared at the same time. i know this sounds ridiculous, because i know i'm doing what i need to do to stay sober, but every day that goes well makes me worried i'm not being vigilant enough to ward off a relapse.
guess working with a sponsor will help me sort through some of those feelings.
my emotions are a wild ride, too, right now. crying at 'kitchen nightmares', then singing to my dogs, then snapping at a co-worker for pretty much no reason....trying to just breathe and live in this moment.
all in all, things are good. just learning every minute of the day, and it's intense!
much gratitude for all of you and for all of your support.
xoxo

Yes..early sobriety was full of changes for me too.
However...each day I noticed a bit of improvement ...
mentally and physically...
I use the Serenity Prayer to keep in balance.
So glad you are moving into a better future ..congratulations ..

That's normal changer...My emotions were all over the map early on...It evens out...You have your sponsor's number...I suggest getting some more numbers at your next meeting...When you are getting squirrely...Call your sponsor...Talk it out...If you can't get a hold of your sponsor...Go down that list...If you're at home...Log on here...Talk before you drink...That's critical...Don't call after you drank....You get bad cravings...It's amazing what talking to another alcoholic can do to take them out of your head. Hang in there...You're doing great!
