Haiku - Day One
 

I will write one haiku every day during my first 90 days of sobriety.
(this one is a true story)


Six bars in two hours
On a wave of ecstasy
The car is totaled


Everyone write a haiku!

5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables

Went to the dancing
But instead of romancing
Just blackouts n tears

Rebellion, Last Call
From Depths of Despair, Awake
Steel Eyes Focused Today

opened the truck door
searched desprately on the floor
where is my vodka!!!!!

what a fabulous idea! i just finished 30 and am really struggling. i'm going to try it. thanx for sharing this.

seems uphill today
how many chances are there
time to go for it

Life is good today
no alcohol in my blood
one day at a time

I now have no doubt
No matter how bad the day
Drinking makes it worse

One day it hit me
Why put sobriety off?
Life is there, waiting

I'm weak- you are strong
I possess all your evils
Where did I go wrong?

Fearful of dying
Yet might spend rest of my life
Wishing I was dead

This thread makes me think
Opens invisible doors
And beckons me in

With a sober mind
I have all the same problems
But one less to solve

Feeling good today
No more feelings of dismay
The sun is shining

writing poetry
on day one, you will be fine
just don't drink today

I could not go on
I could only surrender
A new day dawning

surrender to win
makes absolutely no sense
until you try it
