This is HUGE for me!

I have quit drinking many times but always caved within the first 2 weeks.
I could only seem to make it up to Day 13 and then back to drinking again.
Well I know it's not astronomical but I am on Day 15 today. It has not been easy to say the least being in Mexico while everyone is vacationing and drinking while I am keeping mostly to myself and not going out much at all.
I do get out to walk at least once a day,go to the beach but have been holing up in my apartment for the last 15 days posting & reading on this message board, eating popcorn, watching movies and reading mostly.

Fifteen days is a great achievement, cheeto, well done. It was about this time in my new sobriety that things started to solidify for me, I had my legs underneath me then and most of the fear I had around being sober had left.

This can be the last time you ever ever have to experience that miserable first two weeks again. Keep that in mind, Cheeto.

Can I suggest to you that this achievement of yours now makes you a member in good standing of the SR Advisory Team? There are lots of folks that will really benefit from your experience and from your advice. This can also help you get out of your head when things get too busy in there.

Nicely done cheeto! I'm on Day 14 myself and trying to withstand pressures so I know how hard it is. Hats off to you

Yes for sure I am reading and posting and hope to help anyone that needs it from my start at sobriety.
