You can do this, Joe. I have faith in you! Play it all the way through and you'll be glad when you wake up tomorrow still sober!

Stay strong. Do whatever you have to do to avoid taking that first drink.

Put some sparkling water in that wine glass Joe!

And just say 'no thank you, I'm not drinking' x

Look at it as a bottle of poison.

You can stay stopped!

Yay, made it. When I excused myself so that I could send out that emegency message someone filled my glass already. It sat there the entire time. I stuck with the water. I really do appreciate the support. I think I'm going to stick with it this time.

I know if it were just me and the addict voice I would have given in; but I've got you guys to help.

Well done Joe, that happened to me a few weeks ago, I was in control of the meal, and then someone puts a glass of champagne in my hand for the toast.

It took a while to realise all I had to do was not drink it, and once that simple fact had entered my head, all was ok

glad you were ok Joe

I dunno - the way I look at it, any addict voice needs you to feed it...it needs your arms to life the glass etc...

just say no, y'know?

I know it's not easy, but it is very possible.
Remember you're in control - not any addictive voice
