Sobriety is good but can be a pain in the butt

I mean seriously, I've been awake since zero am, fretting on the unfrettable then thinking this is life, live with it. Now I feel like laughing. Don't know why not sleeping and being sober can get me going but it is. Sometimes I appreciate life and my ability to be a part of it. Namaste

Are you working a program of recovery? Your wisdom could help so many people in the rooms of AA. I once found a book about the 12 steps and Buddhism (Is that what you enjoy?). I hope you are active during the day....

I wish you well, Fitz!!

Prayers and love sent,

Yes working a program or its working me. Have many Buddhist recovery books, somtimes attend to them. I "do" AA at my old treatment center, always a kick to go in the front door. I almost never speak, in real life I am very shy, in my secret life a stand up comic

Night-time can be fretful can't it. I remember Rowan Williams (head of the Anglican Church) once describing his feelings in difficult times as 'like a 3am view of the world'. I've remembered that ever since - it's quite common to worry in the night. But we're still here in the morning getting on with life.

Yes Hour of the Wolf. But made it, any night of not drinking/drugging a gift. 2 months since treatment and this morning almost feeling human. Taking it easy but will serve at the vet center, dang bunch will eat anything.
