Congratulations on nine months!
You've been sober about a week longer than I have-- feels great, doesn't it?
Nine months is a terrific start- and it sounds like some of the promises of the program are coming to you
Aren't we lucky and blessed to have AA, SR, our higher powers, and so many other programs to help us on our journey?

Thanks to each of you for such kind comments! You've melted my heart. I treated myself to a day mostly filled with recovery work yesterday, to celebrate. And, I'm glad I did. I ended my day reading your generous comments, and started today with even more of them. The love here is a beautiful, humbling gift. Thanks!

I was never told I had social anxiety disorder, thesun, but I did love to hermit. That was mostly because of my booze-laden breath, my red face and eyes, and my wobbly gait. My major disorder on top of, and beneath, alcoholism was depression. Paralyzing depression. I couldn't even speak some of the time, because I was just numb, which is how I wanted to be. Ugh. I hope I never go there again.
