Hello all.
Hey everybody. 25 year old from the Gulf Coast of Missisissippi here. Soon to be (hopefully) former prescription opiate addict of 4 years. I plan on finding a buprenorphine doctor ASAP, and starting treatment. Looks like there's a very nice community here, and I look forward to getting to know y'all.

(((NotMe))) - Welcome to SR!! This site has been a huge part of my recovery. I'm glad you are looking for a dr. to prescribe the subs. I'm a former nurse (lost that career to addiction) but can tell you...a dr. can't help you if they don't know the truth.
I think it's an AA/NA thing about being "honest, open-minded and willing (HOW)" but it works, whether or not you're going to meetings.

Wow, that was quick. Thank you all for the warm welcome!
Purrfect: The tipping point for me was losing my job, oddly enough, due to running out for a few days and pulling consecutive no-call, no-shows. Luckily, I have a potential spot with a great company (in the same industry) coming up in a few weeks, so I'd like to get myself together and stable before I start there.
