I went and got my hair re-blonded today It's been so long since I really cared about anything except for drinking even how I looked. Felt great this morning not to be hungover, to go to my kids baseball game and then go do something that made me feel and look better!

I think that is fantastic. I know what you're talking about because toward the end of my drinking career, I was the same way - nothing much mattered but the next drink. I really didn't care too much what my hair looked like because I was so busy hiding from people behind closed curtains, hair didn't matter.

I loved playing softball in school and in bar leagues, and to this day, I love watching kids playing ball - grew up across the street from a school and spent countless hours watching strangers play ball - when I wasn't loaded, of course.

I'm so glad you enjoyed watching your kid play ball.

It is all about those little bits of changes and doing things differently than we did when we were soaking in booze that make all the difference.

I'm grateful every day for these small little amenities in life.
