Where to meet sober friends?

Hi everyone,
I was sober a couple years back (I was doing it more for my boyfriend at the time), now I am sober for ME!! I feel very positive and comfortable with my sobriety this time. I know this is going to bee a great time for me. I'm already starting to read more, and I've been going to the gym (and liking it)
So my question is...how can I meet sober friends? I really want to find non-drinkers to do things with. I've had no luck searching the web
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Most of the friends I have now are from AA....Good people that like to have fun without alcohol.

This is where I've met my friends too. I joined a book club. Something I love to do and I've met several like-minded people. Some of the persons in the book club drink, but they drink normally and it's not a wild time out. Usually we meet in someone's home and I always show up with a bottle of Perrier. I have so much fun and don't miss the drinking at all.

Attend a local church of your chosen denomination. This is a good start.

Also - I have found something that works very well for me. This is not always the best place, as many people drink here, but if you seek out only the hard working individuals college is a great place also.

It does not matter how old you are, I would suggest to enroll in a class or two per semester at your local university. Seek out the hard working "A students" and try to keep high grades.

Good luck!

Thank you everyone for the advice. I haven't been to any AA meetings this time around. I think I'll look into it, though.

Why not....I met some very cool people that don't ever want to drink again.....It's hard to go wrong with that.
