New to SR
Hi there, I am new to this website and am glad I'm here! I've got two random newbie questions ;
* how 'new' do I have to be to post in the newcomers section? I am just past the seven month mark in my sobriety but sometimes I feel like I'm always going to feel like a newbie
* how do I customise my avatar?
Thanks muchly!
Luv, Love.

Welcome LovePrayLive...I love your name. Congrats on seven months and I'd say you are more than qualified to post in this forum. I don't know much about avatars...Somebody else will have to help with that....What keeps you sober?
Hi LovePrayLive
the newcomers section is open to anyone - generally people new to the site start there - and some of us never leave LOL
custom avatar upload is broken at the moment - our techies are looking at it - but for now you'll have to use our in house avatars, I'm afraid...

Congratulations on your experience to date!!
(and looking at the way you edited that post, you are fairly quick at getting things anyway!!!)
Hello all!! and thanks muchly for your supportive and helpful words and humour
I can't remember who asked me what keeps me sober ( still getting my short term memory into gear here lol) but I'll tell you anyway;
*I feel really good more than when I was drinking *Not drinking is surprisingly easy (though living a life with dignity,grace, humour, love and intelligence is where I am still learning) *I got to the point where I wanted more and still do *It's nice to live with hope instead of resignation
*Little blessings and big HPLB (Higher Power Lightning Bolts) remind me every day that this is the life I am MEANT to be living.
But I think that after all the intellectualizing the truth is that my Higher Power loves me and wants me to have love in my life.......and I can't drink because I would die (my soul would hurt so much that I think it would disappear and then I would be not listening to my Higher Power and that equals death to me)
Thanks all again, see you 'round SR
